I just finished reading Paranormalcy (Kiersten White) and loved it. The character is snarky and lovable and SO much a teenager. She seems to get toned down (almost NORMAL :) in the next book, but that may have been done on purpose. Not sure yet, as I'm just a few pages in.
In the first book the author made normal (the character's normal) seem fantastic, in the second she makes fantastic seem normal, which in my experience takes just as much effort.
If the second book is as unique as the first, I'll be really happy with it.
